Privacy Policy
How MIRA collects, uses and protects your information.
MIRA (“MIRA,” “we,” “us”) operates the MIRA virtual try-on application and the website at bymira.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are committed to complying with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and other applicable laws.
Information we collect
- Photos you upload — the images you choose to try garments on, processed to generate your try-on result.
- Garment links and images — the product URLs or garment photos you provide.
- Purchase records — whether you hold an active subscription or credit balance. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never receive or store your card details.
- Basic usage & device data — app version, device type, and diagnostics, to keep the service reliable.
- Email address — only if you contact us for support.
How we use your information
- To generate the virtual try-on images you request.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app and website.
- To manage your subscription or credit balance.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.
Photos and face data
MIRA does not perform face recognition, facial identification, age estimation, or any form of biometric matching. We do not create, store, or derive face templates, faceprints, or biometric identifiers of any kind.
Quality check (on your device). Before a photo is uploaded, MIRA runs a local check using Google ML Kit Pose Detection to confirm the photo shows a standing full-body figure suitable for try-on. This runs entirely on your device. The image is not transmitted for this check. Only the outcome — a pass/warn verdict, a short reason code, and the image dimensions — is sent to our servers.
Try-on generation. When you request a try-on, your photo is transmitted to Google Vertex AI, and in rare fallback cases to fal.ai, solely to generate the requested image. Your photo is sent as part of the request and is not stored by MIRA at any point. It is never used for advertising and is not used to train AI models.
Retention. Input photos are never stored. Generated try-on images are held in private storage and deleted automatically 30 days after creation. You may request earlier deletion at any time at aj@bymira.ai.
Processors receiving images. Google Vertex AI (try-on generation), fal.ai (fallback generation), Supabase (private storage of generated images). No processor receives your photos for any purpose other than producing the try-on you requested, and none uses them to train models on our instruction.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers to run MIRA. They act on our instructions under contractual confidentiality obligations:
- RevenueCat, Inc. — manages subscriptions, credit purchases and entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and the purchase records returned by Apple or Google. It does not receive your photos, and it does not receive your payment card details.
- Apple and Google — process all payments and handle refunds under their own privacy policies. MIRA never receives or stores your card details.
Processors that receive your photos are listed separately under Photos and face data.
Sharing
We share personal data only with the service providers named above, under contractual confidentiality, or where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention & security
Personal data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymized. Image-specific retention is covered under Photos and face data above. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Affiliate links
Some product links shown in MIRA may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase. This never changes the price you pay. Affiliate activity is handled through third-party networks subject to their own terms.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email aj@bymira.ai.
Children
MIRA is not directed to children under the age required by local law, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
